If it makes you feel frustrated, boxed in, angry, upset, or sad, it doesn’t resonate with you. Any attempt to match it is a form of self-sabotage. You’re sabotaging yourself by not going after your dreams and by allowing others to decide how you should live your life.
Believe that you are worthy of living the life you want to live! Believe that you can not only have everything you want, but you can have more than that. You have the power to create something even better than you can imagine.
You might think this sounds selfish. You might think you owe it to your parents or to society to do what is expected of you. But if you are unhappy, how much are you really helping others?
If you really want to help others and make them feel happy and supported, you have to begin with yourself.
Happiness is a choice. It’s up to you to take responsibility for your happiness.
What you want matters.
Your opinion matters. Your feelings matter. Everything about you matters! Don’t suppress who you are to make others happy. It’s okay to feel and think the way you do.
The more you accept yourself, the more powerful you will feel. And the more you express yourself, the easier it will become.

Ask yourself: Does it really resonate with you? Is it what you really want or is it what you think you should have?
If you need to change your list so that it matches the year you really want to create, do it! It will be far easier to create something that you really want than something you are creating to make others happy.
Your passion and excitement lie in the things you want to manifest. These are the areas where you’re less likely to find resistance or limiting beliefs.

I really enjoyed this article! I have been manifesting my ex from 10 years ago back into a love relationship. I truly feel right about this. He is currently in an unhappy relationship and I am visualizing him becoming available to be my boyfriend. Most of the time I feel really good when I journal or do my visualizations. I am acting as if I’m already his girlfriend. I had a little set back this weekend and I feel like I should take it easy and not contact him for a little while and wait for him to contact me. I’m confused if I should live as if I’m his girlfriend which means not contacting other guys or going on dates, or if I should do those things as a fun distraction which could increase my vibration.
You should live as if while enjoying your life. If you want to accept dates, you can do so just to have fun. A date doesn’t mean a relationship. It’s just getting to know someone, someone who could be a good friend one day. If you want to focus on just the one person, you can do that too. Do what makes you happiest.

I was reading your article where you say impatience is a sign of resistance. I was starting to feel that way because I was adding specific dates to my visualization journal entries. Is that not helpful? Also, I am currently creating a vacuum for my ex to get back together with me but the guy I recently broke up with is still living with me and in the process of packing and moving out. Probably not the best situation, right? Along with the impatience, I was feeling anxious like I need advice from friends, psychics/tarot cards or something… Is that showing the universe that I don’t trust that the relationship is coming to me?
If you believed the relationship was yours, you wouldn’t need confirmation from others. Not believing is a sign of resistance and shows that you aren’t at one with the relationship.
My life is turned into help but dear Elizabeth I have never stopped dreaming good about my life I have also lost my childhood friendship!! because of fights there are many good and many big dreams which I can’t even express I want everything to be happy in my life I want to end my LIfe on a nice memorable happy note!!! hi elizabeth ! i am such a big fan. your articles and books have changed my life! one issue im having is the process of letting go. i understand it fully but i want to make sure im doing it correctly. if i have successfully let go does that mean i no longer visualize or think about my desire because i believe it is so ? im confused if im supposed to do repetitive visualizations. im afraid this might be resistance because it may seem as though i dont have faith that i already have it. once ive asked and visualized then let go do i continue to visualize ? any insight would be helpful 🙂
