When I was a child, I thought our purpose in life was to be happy.
Somewhere along the way, I lost that part of me.
I lost track of some of the things I teach here. I started doing what I thought I should do. I started caring about whether or not others liked it.
I stopped creating my life based on what I value.
How Your Values Affect the Law of Attraction
To be truly successful with the Law of Attraction, you have to know what you value. Concentrating on your values automatically draws a life you absolutely love to you.
When you try to manifest without being in alignment with your values, it’s normal for limiting beliefs, resistance, and boredom to arise.
It’s important to know what your values are, and you can find them by looking at why you want to manifest the things you want. For example, if you want a new job, look into why you want it. What do you think it will give you? Power, happiness, wealth, growth?
You may find that the things you want to manifest are not in alignment with your values. You may want a new job because you’ve been told you should earn more money, but you might discover that you value family, not money.
Even if you get a new job earning more money, you won’t be fulfilled. You will be frustrated and dissatisfied. You got the job that you thought you should have, but it wasn’t aligned with your values.
When you focus on your values, you will begin to make choices that lead you towards what is important to you. Since one of your values is family, you might begin spending more time with your family and finding different activities you can do with them.
As you let go of the things that don’t reflect your values, you will begin to find yourself telling a different life story. The more you honor your values and focus on building your life around them, you will quickly find you have created a life you absolutely love.
Your values are the things that are the most important to you. They are the experiences your soul craves.
My Values and My New Life Story
I realized recently that I had stopped living my life in accordance with my values. When I stopped honoring them, I stopped honoring myself.
I took time to look at what is important to me and what I want in my life.
I discovered that one of my values is joy.
I’m now consciously choosing to live my life according to the principle of joy – only eating those foods that bring me joy, only doing activities that I enjoy….
I bought a bouquet of flowers yesterday because of how much joy seeing them gave me. The flowers are now bringing joy to my entire family.
I’m taking a break from structured workouts because I’d play with my puppy. I enjoy running and playing with him, and the sheer happiness we bring each other when I do so.
Such simple acts make my soul happy, my spirit lighter, and my life even better.
Joy is my new life story.
